PilaMania's mission is 'All the joy of balloons, without the worries.' We develop a patent-pending modular system of reusable PVC balloons as a sustainable alternative to disposable balloons. Our ambition: to make the party decoration industry sustainable without compromising on visual impact. Accessible to event professionals and private individuals alike.
One set of PilaMania balloons replaces 50+ sets of disposable balloons. Our phthalate-free PVC balls withstand −20°C to +60°C, retain their shape and colour, and are 95% recyclable at the end of their lifespan. One PilaMania set prevents hundreds of disposable balloons from ending up on the landfill after a single use.
Latex balloons are made from natural rubber and only last 8–24 hours. PilaMania's PVC balloons last 50+ use cycles, retain their perfect spherical shape, and withstand weather conditions. Our balls are also phthalate-free, no toxic plasticisers, and contain no latex allergens. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
PilaMania was founded by Harry Viet. In 2017 he became involved in the decoration industry when an entrepreneur with a shop pointed him to the frustrations of traditional balloon pillars: deflated after one day, reordering every month, piles of waste. From his background in technology and product development, Harry sought a structural solution. Via a first instructive attempt with hard plastic to the modular PilaMania system. PilaMania is a trading name of Sense For Succes BV (established 2015) and launched its first products in 2024.
Yes, and demonstrably so. Each PilaMania decoration replaces 50+ sets of disposable material over its lifespan, works without helium and produces zero operational waste. At the end of its life, 95% of the materials are recyclable. We deliberately don't claim 100%, because honesty about impact is part of our approach. PilaMania primarily targets B2B customers: event agencies, retailers, hospitality businesses, schools, and municipalities. Through our European partner network, the products are also available to private individuals. The system is designed for reuse: one investment that pays for itself after three to six events.
