The Beginning
2017 — The problem
Harry Viet was inspired by a shop owner who complained about the limitations of traditional balloons. Two columns at the entrance for a week, simple idea, right? Not quite. After one day the balloons looked deflated. Flat, dull, disappointing. Reordering every month, paying every month, disappointing every month. There had to be a better way.
What is PilaMania?
PilaMania is a Dutch modular decoration system of reusable balloons, developed by Harry Viet and launched as a trade name of Sense For Succes BV. The system consists of six core components and balloons made from phthalate-free PVC, is weather-resistant from -20°C to +60°C, and has a lifespan of 50+ use cycles. PilaMania launched in 2024 and serves event professionals, retailers and educational institutions in the Netherlands and across Europe.

2017 — Version 1.0
The answer seemed obvious: make the balloons from hard plastic. No escaping air, no deflated display after a day. It worked, partly. The balls lasted for years. But they were heavy. The frame had to be sturdy enough to bear the weight. Transport became a logistical puzzle. And honestly? They were missing something. That airy, cheerful appearance of a real balloon had disappeared. Valuable lessons, but not yet the solution.
2024 — Version 2.0
PilaMania is the result of everything we learned along the way. The lightness of a balloon, combined with the durability of quality material. A modular system that you can build in minutes and store compactly. Weather-resistant, but not lead-heavy. Professional, but accessible. Nine months of development, testing, refining. From first sketch to working prototype. From frustration to a product we're proud of.
Now — Patent-pending
PilaMania is the second version of an idea that started with frustration and grew through trial and error. After years of learning what doesn't work in the decoration industry, Harry Viet launched the PilaMania trade name in 2024: built on the right choices in material, construction and modularity. The result: a patent-pending system that helps event professionals, retailers and schools create professional decorations that last for years. Time and time again. In any colour scheme.

PilaMania is the trade name of Sense For Succes BV, a Dutch company. The PilaMania product line launched in 2024, building on years of industry experience by founder Harry Viet. The patent for the modular system has been filed and is pending.
Yes. PilaMania balloons are made from phthalate-free PVC. Free of the plasticisers banned in standard children's toys. The system requires no helium, contains no small loose parts, and is completely latex-free. Suitable for schools, childcare settings, and any environment where air quality and safety are priorities.
PilaMania provides a 5-year warranty on all frames and structural components, and a 2-year warranty on the balloons themselves. In the event of damage or a production defect, components are replaced within 48 hours through the partner network. The system is designed for a minimum lifespan of 50 use cycles.
PilaMania does not sell directly to end customers. All products are delivered through a certified partner network of partners, event decorators and party shops. This model ensures local service, installation support and after-sales close to the customer. Enquiries submitted via the request page are forwarded to the nearest partner.
No. PilaMania is active in six European markets: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, France and Finland. Each country has its own domain and language version. The partner network is growing. Interested partners and distributors can apply via the partner page.
PilaMania is the only patent-pending click system that makes balloon decoration fully modular and reusable: every ball, tube and connector can be detached, replaced and reused 50+ times. Traditional balloons are disposable: helium escapes, latex degrades, waste accumulates. PilaMania balloons made from phthalate-free PVC last for years, require no helium and are available in 27 exact PMS colours. After three to six events the investment is recovered. After that the cost per event drops below traditional alternatives.
