What are PMS colours and why do they matter for balloons?
PMS stands for Pantone Matching System. The global standard for colour specification used by designers and brands to define colours precisely, regardless of screen or print technology. At PilaMania, all 27 balloon colours are defined with a PMS code. This means you can match your balloon colours to your brand identity, printed materials or decoration. For professional use, the PMS code is leading, screens never display colours exactly.
What is the difference between Basic, Pastel, Dark and Metallic?
PilaMania's 27 colours are divided into four categories. Basic (13 colours) are bright, saturated standard colours: ideal for party decoration, events and most occasions. Pastel (4 colours) are soft, muted tones: popular for weddings, gender reveals and refined settings. Dark (7 colours) are deep, rich tones like night blue, dark green and burgundy. Strong for corporate events and luxury decorations. Metallic (3 colours: gold, silver, bronze) have a shiny finish that reflects light. Ideal as accent colour in combination with other categories.
How do you choose the right balloon colour for your event?
Start with the theme or occasion. For weddings, White + Baby Pink + Gold is timeless. For national celebrations, Red White Blue is a classic that works across events. Metallic (3 colours) are shiny and premium. Perfect as accent colour that makes other colours pop. All categories can be freely combined.
Yes, that is exactly what the modular system enables. The PVC balls can be individually removed and replaced with a different colour. Changing a colour combination takes on average 30 minutes for a complete pillar (37 balls). Many customers keep a base collection in neutral colours (white, black, silver) and rent or purchase additional colours for specific events or seasons.
PilaMania's 27 colours are based on fixed Pantone PMS codes. If your brand colours have a PMS code, you can directly compare with our colour card. In most cases one of our 27 colours is the closest match. For critical brand colours we recommend requesting physical samples from your partner. Screen display is never exact. If your brand colour falls outside our range, ask your partner for colour advice.
PilaMania has 27 fixed colours available directly through partners. These are carefully considered choices covering most occasions and brand identities.
